Find the Balance

Feb 2, 2022 | Work-Life Balance

One of the things that set me apart from most business coaches is that I go beyond Time Management. I focus on six categories. When we balance those, we are at our best. I take a holistic approach to coaching and these six categories make up my business name – Balance 6:

TIME – “Time is more valuable than money, because time is irreplaceable.” John C. Maxwell

MONEY – Your attitude about money is a key element. Money is not the root of all evil. The love of money is. Use it well.

HEALTH AND SELF CARE – Just as on an airplane you have to put the mask on yourself first, you have to be healthy for balance.

RELATIONSHIP(S) – Your relationships with family, friends, and business associates can help or hinder balance.

SELF-IMPROVEMENT – Self-improvement is not an afterthought. It has to be an ongoing effort that supports your purpose.

HIGHER POWER OR SPIRITUALITY – Set time aside to nurture your spiritual self. It’s an overlooked component in many lives.

The categories, as with business and personal life, are intimately and intrinsically interconnected. They cannot be separated, in my opinion. We block time in for each of these categories. As you move through this, you will see the interconnection, the balance, as a match to your purpose.

Is this where you are now?

Is that where you want to be? Think about your purpose in life. What is your purpose?

Write down the purpose of your life.

Are you sure that’s the purpose of your life? Let’s consider the significance of balance before we take action.

When you clearly define the purpose of your life, you need to make sure that you make room for a balanced life. Look at what you wrote again.

Have you made room for a holistic and balanced life?
